Motorcycle Insurance in Michigan with no helmet bill

We recently posted this info on our FaceBook page and thought it would make a good blog post on our website. There are some important considerations related to the The “No Helmet Motorcycle Bill” that affect motorcycle insurance pricing in Michigan.

The NO HELMET MOTORCYCLE BILL in Michigan was signed 4/12/2012 effective immediately. The bill includes that you must be over 21 years of age, required to have a motorcycle endorsement for two years or pass cycle safety course and required you to carry Medical Payments coverage with at least $20,000 limits on your motorcycle insurance policy.

Our motorcycle insurance carriers do offer the necessary coverage to comply with the bill. Please contact our agency for a quote on motorcycle insurance in Michigan. We are located in the middle of the Livonia, Dearborn Heights, Westland Garden City and Redford Michigan area. Visit www.michigan.gov for complete details about the new motorcycle bill.
